It is located in the Municipality of Minatitlán, on the northwest of the City of Colima, communicated with it by a paved road which leaves from the city of Villa de Ãlvarez, and after 55 km you arrive to the municipal head of Minatitlán
It is also on the north of the city of Manzanillo, connected with this by a paved road that leaves from the port on the road distributor of the Inner Port. After 50 km you arrive to the municipal head of Minatitlán.
From the city of Colima
By bus that departs from Los Rojos bus station; or by automobile, take the Colima-Minatitlán highway, where you will find the signaling to arrive to the place
From the city of Manzanillo
By bus that departs from the bus station; or by automobile, take the Manzanillo-Minatitlán highway by the Road Distributor of the Inner Port, where you will find the signaling to arrive to the place.
The celebrations are divided in two: The Profane Religious and the Charrotaurine (Horses and bulls). The celebrations start on December 30 with the peregrinations from the little towns, to all over the town until the Parish of the Immaculate Conception, and with tidbits sale and popular festivals in the Benito Juárez weapons plaza, and the main day of the profane religious celebrations is on Juanuary 8; day in which they initiate the activities of the Charrotaurine celebrations, in which the public can do the following activities
* Cavalcades
* Receptions
* Rodeos (Bronco busting) and the famous bull of eleven, that initiates when finishing the cavalcade
* Mechanical Games
* Sport Events
* Horse racing
* Palenque of Roosters
* The expected route of La Farola (The Lamppost).
* And the famous contest of the Milk Cow
The route of The Lamppost consists of a route by the main streets of the municipal head announcing the events to be realized during the time of the celebrations
The Contest of the Cow milk lasts between 3 and 4 days, in which the contestants must milk a cow, and the owner of the cow that produces the more liters of milk, wins
The Charrotaurine celebrations ends on January 16.
