Regresar a Location This place approximately is 50 kilometers from the city of Manzanillo, by the highway that communicates the port in the state of Colima, with Cihuatlán in the state of Jalisco, by a deviation that leads to Isla de la Navidad; then, follow the signaling. This place is possible to be acceded by own or rented automobile, or by taxi from the city of Cihuatlán In order to arrive to the town you have to take the way that starts in the coastal highway Manzanillo – Barra de Navidad. The entrance to Isla de la Navidad is seven kilometers after Cihuatlán, Jalisco. From this entrance to Colimilla is a distance of twelve kilometers. Another way to arrive is to continue until Barra de Navidad and take one of the boats that regularly make the trip between this town and Colimilla. Atractions The Snake peninsula is in the west end of the State, finished off by Punta Corrales. In its north part is located the hill of San Francisco, and on its foot, exactly in front of Barra de Navidad, in the state of Jalisco, it is the little town Colimilla. The peninsula separates the Pacific Ocean from the lagoon that forms the Marabasco river, before unloading its waters in the BahÃÂa de Navidad (Christmas Bay). One of the alternatives to arrive to the town is to take a boat in the town of Barra de Navidad in Jalisco and cross the matting towards Colimilla. It is a entertaining trip Colimilla is a fishermen’s common land. The little town just have a single street, parallel to the shore of the lagoon. On one side of the street there are houses that climb to the hill of San Francisco, on the other, palafittes on the water that, with its exotic aspect and the restaurants that occupy them, have given deserved fame to the place. In the water that runs under its wood terraces, large oysters and other seafood are put in bags to take them fresh to the table The rest of the hill of San Francisco is occupied by a modern tourist development denominated Isla de la Navidad (Christmas Island). It has a great tourism hotel (Grand Bay), bars and high cuisine restaurants, and a golf course of 27 holes, considered one of the best in the world. En el extremo occidental del Estado está la penÃÂnsula de La Culebra, rematada por la Punta Corrales. Ubicación Este lugar se encuentra a 50 kilómetros aproximadamente de la ciudad de Manzanillo, por la carretera que comunica al puerto en el estado de Colima, con Cihuatlán en el estado de Jalisco. Por una desviación que conduce a la Isla de la Navidad, basta seguir los señalamientos. A este lugar se puede acceder en automóvil propio o rentado, o bien en taxi desde la ciudad de Cihuatlán. Para llegar al poblado se toma el camino que parte de la carretera costera Manzanillo - Barra de Navidad, y siete kilómetros adelante de Cihuatlán, Jalisco se encuentra el entronque a la Isla de la Navidad, el cual se toma a mano izquierda. De este entronque a Colimilla hay una distancia de doce kilómetros. Otra manera de llegar es seguir hasta Barra de Navidad y tomar allàuna de las lanchas que regularmente hacen el viaje entre este pueblo y Colimilla.
