At the moment the commercial facilities of the port have been developed greatly and it is the port that handles the biggest amount of merchandise in containers in all the Mexican Pacific. It competes with some important ports like the one of San Diego, in California. The access to the public within the facilities of the commercial port is very restricted, but it is possible to contemplate its great movement from the exterior.
